Photography and Videography at GrindingHub 2026

Consent Form

Taking of photos and videos

Employees or contracted photographers of the German Machine Tool Builders’ Association (VDW) have approached you and, after explaining the purposes and providing a QR code linking to this detailed information, have asked for your consent—which you may revoke at any time—to photograph you and use these images.

Consent, Purposes

I agree that employees or commissioned photographers of the German Machine Tool Builders’ Association (VDW) may take photos and videos of me during the

GrindingHub 2026 in Stuttgart

for the purposes of reporting in print media, public relations on the VDW’s websites, as well as on YouTube and other social media channels. The VDW may also digitize and electronically edit the recordings (e.g., cut them or add inserts or graphics) without altering the content of the recording or obscuring the identities of individuals.

The images and video recordings will be used by the VDW exclusively for these purposes. The VDW will retain the data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes of processing and will delete it no later than 3 years after the recording was made or upon revocation of consent.

To the extent that the image and video recordings contain special categories of personal data about me pursuant to Article 9 of the GDPR, I also consent to the aforementioned use.

Data Transfer

I am aware that publication on the internet means that the recordings can be found worldwide via search engines and that, therefore, use by third parties cannot be ruled out. In particular, in the context of publication on the aforementioned social media channels, my data may also be transferred to countries outside the EU (e.g., to the U.S.), where there is no comparable level of data protection. In the event of misuse of the recordings outside the EU, legal protection may be inadequate.

Right of Withdrawal

I may revoke this consent in whole or in part at any time with future effect, free of charge. I may declare the revocation to presse@vdw.de. Publications and other processing carried out prior to my revocation based on my consent remain lawful.

Legal basis

The legal basis for the processing of personal data described above is your consent as the data subject pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

Data Subject Rights

As a data subject affected by the processing of personal data, you have the following rights:

  • to request confirmation as to whether we are processing personal data concerning you; if this is the case, you have the right to obtain information regarding this processing (Art. 15 GDPR).
  • to request the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you and the completion of incomplete personal data concerning you (Art. 16 GDPR).
  • to request the erasure of personal data concerning you under the conditions set forth in Art. 17 GDPR, including where the processing was unlawful or is no longer necessary.
  • to request a restriction of the processing of personal data concerning you under the conditions of Article 18 of the GDPR, including as an alternative to erasure of the data.
  • to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, or to have it transmitted to another controller, provided that the processing is carried out by automated means and is based on your consent or a contract with you (data portability, Art. 20 GDPR).
  • to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time with future effect (withdrawal of consent, Art. 7(3) GDPR). The lawfulness of the processing of your data prior to withdrawal remains unaffected.

In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data by the VDW.
