Sustainable filter technology of the future – Lehmann-UMT presents global innovations at GrindingHub
Innovative, sustainable and unique: With the recently founded label StingR® - smart living technology Lehmann-UMT GmbH raises filter technology to a revolutionary level. The ultra-fine filtration with automatic pneumatic backwash offers a wide range of applications, whether in the machining of hard metals, HSS, ceramics or mixed machining.
There is a traditional history behind the product. Since 1998, Lehmann-UMT produces filter and conveyer systems Made in Germany, from the initial idea to the completed system. In the past years and also today, special attention is paid to the ultra-fine filtration. “It was our intention to expand the previously very small technical characteristic field. This was achieved through the technological development of a back washable water chamber, which we were even able to patent," explains Titus Lehmann, Managing Director of the family business. This innovative technology offers optimal filter fineness, both in oil and emulsion, as well as in aqueous solutions. The StingR® combines the greatest benefit with the highest efficiency. "One of the main advantages is that the space required by the StingR® units is reduced by more than half. Furthermore, we were able to reduce energy consumption by 35 %. And all this at investment costs that are approx. 22 % lower than comparable systems," says Jonathan Gehmlich, technical manager at Lehmann-UMT. The pneumatic automatic backwash ensures extended service life and low maintenance. The StingR® can be easily integrated into existing structures and ensures stable production processes, reduces wear on the machines and offers the highest quality in production.
In addition to the StingR®, the suction belt filter is one of the company's latest developments. Lehmann-UMT has developed a new generation filter from the compact filters that have been successfully placed for decades. As a continuous filter system, this is optimally aligned to the advantages of the StingR® and often serves as the first filter stage, individually adapted to the respective area of application. The system is not only suitable for a high volume of dirt, but also meets the highest demands on filtration quality. In a continuous filtration process, high litre capacities are achieved in the smallest installation space. The self-cleaning suction makes filter aids redundant and ensures minimum maintenance. The suction filter convinces with low energy consumption, cost efficiency and a high degree of economy. Already in use in the production of some customers, the filter systems will now be presented to a large audience at GrindingHub.
The Lehmann-UMT team of experts will be available from 17 to 20 May in hall 9 - stand 9D10 to present the technological highlights of the systems. Visit our homepage for more information at: www.stingr.de.
