Gearing up for GrindingHub 2026: Two months before the start of the trade fair, the digital preview provided a compact insight into trends, innovations and the event’s international focus. With over 430 exhibitors from 28 countries, the world-leading trade fair taking place from May 5 to 8 in Stuttgart is once again sending out a powerful message to the industry: Despite falling production and export figures, grinding technology remains highly innovative, and GrindingHub is positioning itself as the central platform for the industry.
Launching in 2027, GrindingHub Americas will be the first and as yet only trade fair in America dedicated exclusively to grinding technology. Organized by the VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association), Messe Stuttgart and Swissmem (Swiss Association of the Machinery, Electrical and Metal Industries), the successful concept first established by GrindingHub Stuttgart in Germany is now being brought to the American market.
The preparations for GrindingHub 2026 from May 05 to 08 are picking up speed: The recently published provisional list of exhibitors features 360 companies. “The participation of leading manufacturers from the grinding technology sector shows the industry's clear commitment to GrindingHub as a place for exchange, innovation and international networking,” says Dr. Markus Heering, Managing Director of event organizer VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association). “It's much more than just a trade fair – it's the place to be for anyone who is interested in exchanging ideas and finding solutions for pressing production problems related to grinding technology. Keeping this dialog going is particularly important at the present time when the economy is struggling,” continues Dr. Heering.
Everything relating to grinding technology for experts from all over the world – that's what GrindingHub will offer in Stuttgart from 5 to 8 May 2026. After two successful editions, the organizer VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association) will continue the trade fair's success story in cooperation with Messe Stuttgart and the Grinding Conference, and with Swissmen (Association of the Swiss Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Metal Industry) as the promotional supporter.
Following the successful premiere of GrindingHub in May 2022, the second edition of the industry meeting place for grinding technology took place in Stuttgart from May 14 to 17, 2024. Around 500 well-known manufacturers from 31 countries presented numerous innovations along the entire grinding technology process chain at the trade fair.
Around 500 exhibitors and more than 11,100 visitors – that was the outcome of GrindingHub 2024 which finished today after four successful days. "The trade fair has developed very well since its successful launch two years ago: The strong figures and the positive mood at GrindingHub speak for themselves," concluded Dr. Markus Heering, Managing Director of the organizer VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association).
